Our sustainability mission

OUR
RESPONSIBILITY

We practice generational thinking and act upon our values – eco-friendly and cutting-edge. High-level quality standards and maximum added value are the basis for sustainable growth.

We are the perfect answer to the requirements of the European Green Deal. Our timber construction systems combine efficiency with climate protection and define construction of the future.
OUR
LOC PRINCIPLES
JOSEF LAUSS, RUDOLF ORTNER & JAN WALTER CAPPELEN:

WE ARE PART OF SOMETHING GREAT.

THE SUSTAINABLE TIMBER FACTORY

LOC GREEN DEAL

Sustainable cities and communities

The lightweight and efficient LOC modules enable and simplify urban densification, for example, by adding to existing buildings. That is how affordable, high-quality living spaces are created quickly and economically. Sustainable in-house production secures employment in a rural area.

Sustainable consumption and production

Using timber from 100 % sustainable and certified local forestry assures short transportation routes. Our products are long-lasting, stable in value, reusable, fully recyclable, and store CO2 long-term.

Climate protection measures

By using and promoting timber as an all-round material, using energy-efficient technologies and alternative and fossil power units, as well as our photovoltaic panels on our factory roof, we directly and proactively participate in climate protection.

WHY LOC BELIEVES IN TIMBER

Timber is a local hero that grows back every year in Austrian forests. This building material is available in sufficient quantities, and the power of photosynthesis turns it into a carbon reservoir. Out of all building materials, timber is considered to have the lowest energy demand for production, transportation, and processing. Timber exhibits the best technical qualities and guarantees a remarkably long use. At final disposal, its recycling cycle is climate-neutral.
